Epic Games Store's next free title is here and it's great

The free game offered through the Epic Games Store has rotated, and the one up for grabs this week is particularly great. By logging into your Epic Games account before June 20th, you'll be able to claim a free copy of Enter the Gungeon. If you haven't played this indie gem yet, this is a really good chance to check it out.Enter the Gungeon, like a number of indie titles these days, is a roguelike game at its core. You'll attempt to make you way through a multi-level dungeon – the titular Gungeon – fighting bosses and collecting power ups along the way. As with any roguelike game, dying means the end of your run, but as you play you'll collect special currency that you can use to make persistent changes to the game.

As you may have already figured out, Enter the Gungeon is all about guns. You'll collect and use a variety of different weapons as you play, and your enemies – many of which are bullet-shaped – belong to the Cult of the Gundead. Enter the Gungeon blends the dungeon crawler and bullet hell genres, so runs are almost always hectic (even if they only last a few minutes).

You've only got one week to claim a copy of Enter the Gungeon from the Epic Games Store. On June 20th, the free game will rotate to Rebel Galaxy, which will be available until June 27th. Epic originally sped up its free game rotation to one per week during the store's Mega Sale, but it's decided to keep that pace up throughout the rest of the year.

Though Epic has been the subject of a lot of ire from the PC gaming masses lately, it's hard to argue with free games, especially one as good as Enter the Gungeon. You can claim a copy by heading over to the Epic Games Store and either logging in or creating an account.
