EMS Or E-Paper Music Score Could Be The Next Big Use For E-Ink

This design concept from Serina Sung could be the next big thing for the e-ink industry, it really is quite genius. I know that when I was in band class I would have given just about anything to not have to remove my hands from my saxophone to turn the page.

This concept would put your scores on an e-ink display which would have the double effect of making them easier to read in the dark, and, with the foot pedal, would mean you wouldn't actually have to turn the page. The only downside I could come up with for a system like this would be the battery running out or the display clunking out on you mid performance whereas you wouldn't have those concerns with traditional analog formats (ink, paper).

The page-turning pedal and the e-paper display would be connected via Bluetooth and it looks like there is both a back and forward button on the pedal. One last upside of this design is that you could resize your music scores so that the page turn wasn't until you had a rest or something like that.
