Edge Tech debuts new line of USB 3.0 gear

USB 3.0 is here in force and for users looking to take advantage of USB 3.0 gear on machines that don't have native USB 3.0 ports new add-in cards are needed before you can move up to the faster speeds the new interface offers. Edge Tech Corp has announced a new complete line of USB 3.0 gear.

The gear runs the gamut from add-in cards to put USB 3.0 ports into notebooks and desktops to USB 3.0 external storage solutions. Edge offers the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Laptop ExpressCard that adds a USB 3.0 port to any windows notebook with the ExpressCard slot. Desktop users can get the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI Express card adding dual USB 3.0 ports to a Windows PC.

Once the ports are available, the user can opt for the Edge DiskGo USB 3.0 HDD for external storage that gets connectivity and power from the USB port. The drive is offered in up to 750GB in portable form and up to 2TB in an external design. The drives also come with Dmailer Backup software for local and online data backups.
