Echo Wall Clock sales return after Amazon fixes connectivity issue

In September 2018, Amazon unveiled Echo Wall Clock, a new connected device in its Echo product line. The device was only available to purchase for a short time before Amazon stopped selling the product in January. According to the company, it had paused sales in order to fix a connectivity problem customers reported experiencing, which is partly reflected in some of the device's low reviews on Amazon.

Though the Echo Wall Clock never disappeared from the Amazon store, customers were unable to add it to their shopping cart when sales were paused. That has changed, and Amazon customers have noted that they can once again purchase the device. It is priced at $29.99 USD.

According to customers who were impacted by the problem, the Echo Wall Clock was having trouble connecting with Echo devices, instead presenting users with a red light. It appears that removing the batteries would temporarily fix the problem, but soon enough the connectivity issue would reappear, leaving users without the clock's most important features.

Echo Wall Clock works with a compatible Echo device, using LED lights to display timers that are convenient while cooking. The clock supports displaying multiple timers at once, showing both the duration and time remaining via each LED positioned around the inside edge of the device.

Echo Wall Clock also uses the paired Echo device to automatically sync its time and adjust for daylight savings time. As far as design is concerned, the clock measures 10-inches across and runs off four ordinary AA batteries. The model is once again available to purchase from Amazon and, hopefully, will no longer have connectivity issues.
