Digital Storm Bolt II SFF Steam Machine hybrid aims for highest-end

The folks a Digital Storm are entering the CES 2014 blast of Valve's Steam Machines with full force with an unveiling of the Bolt II. This device is a small form-factor gaming PC made to bring both Windows and Steam OS to the living room, doing so with what the company suggests is the first liquid cooled Steam Machine to have been revealed so far.

This device works with a build that Digital Storm suggests eliminates SFF upgradability concerns by employing their own removable compartment system. This system "provides easy access to key components" This device is what they call "infinitely more upgradeable than any other SFF computer on the market" with the ability to remove and replace its graphics card, optical drive, storage drives, and cooling system easily.

"We are not looking to compete with console pricing. we're taking aim at the high end of the market, targeting consumers that demand the best possible gaming experience and who are looking for a PC capable of playing any title on their new 4K display." – Rajeev Kuruppu, Digital Storm's Director of Product Development

This machine will be working with large perforated ventilation areas over its graphics card, cooling system, power supply, and top panel pulls cold air in whilst transferring heat out. You'll be rolling with a 240mm radiator, processor overclocked by the group in-house, and and a HydroLux control board.

Digital Storm creates the HydroLux control board to allow the user full access to the system's cooling abilities. This system also monitors temperature and adjusts in real-time for what Digital Storm suggests will always be "a perfect balance between thermals and noise."

You'll also have full control over the LED lighting inside this box from start to finish, of course. The Digital Storm Bolt II SFF Steam Machine hybrid will be available for sale from the group itself later this month (January, 2014) starting at $1,899 USD – have at it!
