Dell XPS 15z confirmed "coming soon" by CEO [Video]

Dell CEO Michael Dell has teased the company's upcoming Dell XPS 15z, taking to Twitter to promote a new teaser video showing an ultra-slim notebook. The apparent spiritual successor to the Dell Adamo – axed back in February – the XPS 15z has a distinctive chiclet keyboard and patterned perforated speaker grilles.

It's not the first time we've caught sight of the XPS 15z, of course. The notebook showed up in leaked photos earlier this month, with a 15.6-inch display confirmed along with a choice of Intel 2011 Sandy Bridge Core i5 or i7 processors. 14- or 17-inch versions are also tipped to be in the pipeline.

Other specs we can glean include an optical drive, LED battery meter as you get on Apple's MacBook Pro, and a webcam. Dell didn't say exactly when the notebook would arrive, beyond that it was "coming soon."
