Dell Inspiron Mini 10v N270 netbook spotted; new SSDs available

Dell's next-generation netbook, the Dell Inspiron Mini 10v, has appeared in the company's May 2009 catalog [pdf link; last page] and, as the leaked roadmap suggested would be the case, it brings a change of CPU and new price.  The Dell Mini 10v now has Intel's Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, rather than the Atom Z-series chips in the Mini 10, and starts at $299.  That's a full $100 less than the existing entry-level Mini 10.New SSD options for the Dell netbooks after the cut

A quiet change to the Inspiron Mini 10's specifications pages has brought with it two new SSD options, too.  The 10-inch netbook can now be upgraded with a 32GB or 64GB solid state drive, for $75 or $125 respectively, in place of the standard 160GB 5,400rpm SATA drive.

There's no official word on whether the Mini 10v will have the same SSD configurations available, though given the roadmap suggested that would be the case we're expecting it to pan out.  The Dell Inspiron Mini 10v will be available in mid-May 2009.
