CES 2008: VizionWare Introduces 1650LD Fiber Optic HDMI Interconnects
So lets say you have a long distance to run an HDMI cable, lets say between 50 and 100 meters. What do you do? You can't go buy and bunch of extenders and 20 foot HDMI cables, not only would that add up quite quickly, but you'd constantly have to worry about any one of those many connections coming undone.
Well, VizionWare has your back with their Fiber Optic HDMI Interconnects. Fiber is just about the only way to maintain the high quality that is expected from HDMI connections over long distances. It almost literally transfers the data at light speed so you shouldn't have to worry about latency at all either.
And, comparative to all those HDMI repeaters and cables, the $1499 and $2299 prices aren't bad for the 50 and 100 meter interconnects, respectively. Thankfully I have no need for a cable of this sort because even the cheapest one of those costs more than my entire home theater.
