Case-mate unveils custom DIY cases for smartphones

We all like to customize our smartphones no matter what kind of device we use with apps that we like, cool screen savers, and cases to suit our style and personality. If you like the idea of a case that has you, your kids, your dog, or some other picture that is just for you on it case-mate has unveiled a new custom DIY case offering that will let you create your own.

The DIY cases are available for the iPhone 4, 3G/3GS, iPod touch, Blackberry 8250 and the Blackberry 9700. You can choose from the case-mate Hybrid Tough case for $39.99 or the Barely There case for $34.99.

There are a number of wild looking designs in the catalog for you to choose from, but I think most folks will just choose a picture of family or friends to upload and make their own. The uploaded images need to be high resolution of at least 1650 x 1650 to get a decent look and you can size and rotate your image to get the best layout.
