Galaxy S10 details drip in Samsung supply chain slip-up
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus (or S 10+ if you prefer) was leaked this week courtesy of an official case. Not the sort of case that'd normally come from a hairpin-trigger accessory manufacturer, but a real-deal Samsung case. With it came a set of details about the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus that confirm some previous rumors, disprove others, and in general give us a pretty great idea of what we're about to be messing with.
Relative Size
As per the vast majority of Samsung Galaxy S10 leaks this pre-release season, we're looking at a set of leaks that comes in part from Ice Universe – and a bit from 8090. These folks have some extremely good internal contacts – and/or supply chain contacts – that deliver massive amounts of information on the next Samsung smartphone set no matter the name. This newest leak has to do with a protective case and a screen protector.
The image you see just above this paragraph shows the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus screen protector atop a Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The size is not exact, but it's pretty gosh-darned close. The marginal overall size difference is nothing compared to the extreme difference in total front face screen coverage. Nearly the same size body with a LOT more screen in the mix.
Screen Protector Warning
Screen protector associate 8090, posting this week from China spoke a bit about early results with Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensors – like we'll see in the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus. He suggested that normal tempered glass screen protectors will not work.
With the glass and the layer of adhesive between the standard glass and the extra layer, all the required vibrations are dissipated. As such, new solutions must be found, and we can safely warn against buying your everyday average super-cheap screen protector for this phone – it won't yield a pretty result!
All Three (or 5) models
The first three models will likely be revealed at the same time at an event set just before Mobile World Congress 2019. The other two models will likely be released some time before the end of the first half of the year.

Release Dates
The expected reveal date for the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Edge (or just S10), and S10 Plus, is February 20th, 2019. That's around a week before the first day of Mobile World Congress 2019. Samsung will likely bring a whole bunch of Galaxy S10 models to show to MWC 2019 in Barcelona, too. After that, we're expecting these first three models to launch on March 8th – or thereabouts.
The other two models we're expecting will launch in the 2nd quarter of 2019. That'll be right around the time 5G network coverage is large enough to justify the launch of a major smartphone from the biggest Android-toting manufacturer in the world.
