Canon EF wide-angle lenses arrive with white Rebel SL1

Canon has taken the wraps off a pair of new lenses, the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM and the EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM, both of which are wide-angle zoom lenses. In addition to the new lenses, the maker has also tossed a new white EOS Rebel SL1 into the mix, giving photographers another color option.

The EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM lens can be used with any EOS DSLR, bringing to the table Optical Image Stabilization with support for four shutter speed steps and auto IS mode selection. The lens is being hailed as a solid option for those shooting in low-light situations.

The EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM is the smaller of the two lenses, and works with EOS DSLRs with APS-C sensors. This lens falls into the maker's Stepping Motor lenses category, and like its larger brother it features OIS, among other things. The lens is being targeted at entry-level photographers.

Both of the new lenses are available for pre-order from Canon now, with the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM being priced at $1,199 USD and the EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM being priced at $299 USD. The white Rebel with the cheaper of the aforementioned lenses is priced at $749.99 USD. All three will be available next month.
