Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fan threatens to blow up Best Buy

Get ready with your notepads and your pencils, parents against violence in video games, because you're about to have a field day with this one: there's a video game by the name of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 being released this week that's inspired a fellow at a Best Buy to threaten to set off a bomb at the business. This is no joke, and whether or not the fellow knew that he was bat-pee crazy or not for doing what he did is still up to debate, but what IS known is that this guy definitely isn't the playing the game right this second. But don't worry, it's not his first time.

This game has created more than a little hotness in the minds of gamers looking to take part in one of the most played game series in the history of first-person shooters, and its release this week has been tipped as a new world record for sales. What this meant to 31-year old mister Lomorin Sar of Aurora, Colorado was that he had to get his hands on a copy as early as everyone else, but lo and behold, Best Buy screwed up his pre-order. Upon hearing that his copy of the game was not at the store, he became "irate" and started in with the threats on more than just the store.

After speaking with a manager about the situation and having been offered both a gift card and an upgrade to the "Hardened Edition" of the game, Sar asked several employees what time they got off work. Not to ask them out on a date or to discuss the situation over coffee, mind you, but to shoot them in the parking lot. In addition to this, Sar threatened to blow up the entirety of the Best Buy store.

NOTE that of course the makers of the game do not condone such violence, and will more than likely say "keep it in the game" when asked. Have a peek at one of the trailers for the game right here:

Of course once Sar left the building, employees called the police who were able to find him and pull him over as he left the parking lot – cops are quick! Aurora police spokesman Detective Bob Friel told Brandon Johansson of the Aurora Sentinel the following:

"Investigating officers issued a criminal summons to a man who threatened to carry out his own version of Modern Warfare at the electronics store. Fortunately, this situation did not end in violence." – Aurora Police

Oh snap!

Also note though that local 9 news is saying that this fellow has had at least six other run-ins with police over traffic violations – apparently memorable enough to have been listed in police records – hot head!
