BlackBerry Storm 2 gets hands-on

RIM's BlackBerry Storm 2 may not have been confirmed by the company themselves yet, but that hasn't stopped the handset showing up in the wild more than once.  Now Engadget have had an opportunity to spend more than a few flighty seconds with the touchscreen follow-up; turns out, RIM have listened to criticism and dumped SurePress, replacing it with a more standard capacitive touchscreen.Video hands-on after the cut

Elsewhere, the casing has been slimmed down and polished, making it feel "a wee bit higher end", and the hardware front panel buttons of the first-gen Storm have been replaced with softkeys integrated with the touchscreen.  Build is mainly plastic, with metal trim on the edges and a metal battery cover.

Unfortunately the device they had hands-on time with wouldn't let them past the license screen, so things like haptic feedback are still unconfirmed.  We do know that the Storm 2 does have a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, standard 3.5mm headset socket and USB charging port.  Once you've finished with the video below, there are plenty more photos to be found here.
