BenQ MH535FHD Full HD projector is made for budget home theaters

BenQ has launched a new Full HD projector for home entertainment systems, the MH535FHD. This model boasts a 15,000-hour lamp life and support for projecting screens up to 100-inches in size. Among its many features is a 15,000:1 native contrast and DLP technology, as well as all-glass optics and support for two different video inputs at once

The MH353FHD is BenQ's latest projector designed for home use, one that comes with a slimmer price tag than its newer 4K models. This Full HD offering projects an image measuring up to 9.28ft with 3600 lumens, which is said to be bright enough to view in "well lit" rooms. As well, this model is said to feature a high luminance for crisp text and vibrant colors.

Input resolutions include 1920 x 1200 and 640 x 480 VGA; there's 1.07 billion colors, a native 16:9 aspect ratio, and three different modes: normal, economic, and SmartEco. The projector uses a 230 watt lamp as its light source, which lasts up to 15,000 hours on Smart Eco, 6,000 hours on economic, and 4,500 hours on normal mode.

The projector features a 1.2x zoom ratio and 1.37 to 1.64 throw ratio, a single 2 watt speaker, and support for NTSC/PAL/SECAM video. Other features include an IR receiver, security bar, 3.5mm audio in and out jacks, two 1.4a HDMI, plus RCA and D-Sub.

BenQ offers the projector with optional 3D glasses, a universal ceiling mount, and spare lamp kit. Because more than one input source can be connected at once, users can quickly toggle between two different devices, such as a Chromecast and gaming console. Keystone correction aligns the picture, plus there are adjustable feet for when the device is placed on a flat surface.

The model is available to order from BenQ for $549 USD.
