BeeWi's smart home line now includes an oil diffuser

When people talk about smart or automated homes, they usually think of lights, TVs, speakers, thermostats and maybe even ACs. But an aromatherapy diffuser? Probably not. But that's exactly what BeeWi is showcasing at CES 2016 today. As a proper member of its smart home lineup, the BeeWi smart oil diffuser connects to your home network, automatically adjusts itself according to the conditions inside the room, records environmental statistics, and, of course, lets owners remotely control and view all that from the convenience of their smartphone.

The problem with regular diffusers and humidifiers is that they are all or nothing appliances. They're either on or off, with nothing in between. BeeWi adds a bit of brains to aromatherapy with its smart oil diffuser that allows more fine grained control over the diffusion of essential oils. This control can be done manually or even automatically through programming.

Another unique aspect of this BeeWi product is that it uses the pure oil from the bottle and doesn't need to use water or heat, which dilute and affect the quality of the aroma. Instead, it uses a medical-class pump and diffusion chamber to give the same functionality without the side effects.

As a smart device, the BeeWi oil diffuser is equipped with sensors to monitor the temperature, humidity, and air quality of the room. These records can be viewed via a smartphone app available for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone.

BeeWi is also showing off a faucet attachment that lets you automate and schedule when your garden or lawn gets watered.
