Beats by Dr. Dre rolls out new wireless headphones packing Apple W1 chip

Beats by Dr. Dre has rolled out a new line up of three products that are all wireless earphones. The new line of products include the Beats X, Powerbeats 3, and Beats Solo 3 earphones and headphones. All three of the products are wireless and all use the new Apple W1 chip, Class 1 Bluetooth, and Fast Fuel charging systems.

The goal of the new products is to provide wireless listeners the same sort of fidelity and audio quality normally reserved for use with wired headphones. BeatsX headphones will work with both iOS and Android devices and have a battery life of up to eight hours after a 45-minute charge and two hours with a five-minute charge via the included Lightning cable. The headphones also have a RemoteTalk control for using Siri and making calls. BeatsX will launch this fall for $149.95.

Powerbeats3 bring improved ergonomics compared to the previous version for a better fit and better sound. Fast Fuel charging provides an hour of playback for a 5-minute charge. The headphones are sweat and water resistant when fully charged and ports are closed and have 12 hours of playback per full charge. These headphones will sell for $199.95 and will ship this fall.

Beats Solo3 Wireless has up to 40 hours of battery life thanks to the Apple W1 chip. It has ear cup control for making and receiving calls and playing music. Fast Fuel adds three hours of playback after 5 minutes of charging via the microUSB cable included. The headphones will sell for $299.95 when the hit retail stores on September 7.
