ATI launches new professional video cards including the FirePro V7800, V5800, V4800, and V3800

Earlier this month ATI launched the most powerful professional level graphics card ever called the FirePro V8800. The downside to the powerful video card was the huge price tag of $1499. ATI has now unveiled new pro video cards that offer less performance than the V8800, but are cheaper as well.

The new video cards include the FirePro V7800, V5800, V4800, and V3800. The high-end V7800 has 2GB of GDDR5 RAM and offers lots of power in a compact single card profile. The card has enough power to support three 30-inch LCDs at once. The mid-range card is the V5800 with 1GB of GDDR5 RAM and support for three displays at once.

The entry-level card is the V4800 with 1GB of GDDR5 RAM aimed at entry-level CAD users and supporting three displays via Eyefinity tech. ATI has also debuted the FirePro 2460 Multi-View, which is a card specifically for productivity applications supporting four displays.
