Asus Eee PC 1000HE first impression and unboxing

The Eee PC 1000HE is Asus' answer to user complaints about the previous models. With Longer battery life, better keyboard, and staying in the same price range, the Eee PC 1000HE could be netbook choice of many. We received a unit and unboxed it.

Inside the box, I found the standard content such as restore disc, sleeve, manuals / warranty card, power adaptor, battery, and of course the 1000HE itself. Looking into the battery, Asus uses 8700mAh battery for the unit we received. Nothing really changed from the previous 1000Hx series from the outside except for the new chiclet keyboard, which I found very easy and comfortable to use.

Under the hood, Eee PC 1000HE sports a 1.66Ghz Atom N280 CPU with 667Mhz FSB. You probably won't notice much speed differences between N280 and the older N270 in daily usage; after all, Intel is trying to make more power efficient chip rather than faster chip for netbooks. 1GB RAM and 160GB SATA Drive comes standard with the system. So far I like what I see, I will post the detail review in a couple of days.
