Apple Refreshes the Mac Pro Line with Intel Xeon "Nehalem" Processors

Apple has introduced a new line of Mac Pros. Inside the new Mac Pro, Apple uses Intel's latest Nahelem Xeon Processors. The new Mac Pro starts at $2,499 for a single CPU (Quad Core) configuration with Xeon 3500, 3GB of DDR3 RAM.

The higher end of Mac Pro will cost you $3299 and come with base configuration of Two-2.26Ghz Quad Core Xeon 5500 CPU, 6GB of DDR3 RAM. Both low end and high-end configuration are equipped with nVidia GeForce 120GT video cards and 640GB hard drive.

The new refresh provides user with an integrated memory controller and three channels DDR3 (hence why the memory configuration starts at 3GB) that reduce memory latency up to 40 percent.
