App Store reject Wi-Fi Sync gets Cydia release

Remember Wi-Fi Sync, the iPhone app that promised to break the USB connection between your handset and iTunes, instead enabling synchronization over wireless? Unfortunately, as semi-expected Apple has rejected developer Greg Hughes' App Store submission, so he's promptly slapped the app into the unofficial Cydia store.

Of course, you can only access Cydia if you have a jailbroken iPhone, but once you've done that Wi-Fi Sync itself is a $9.99 download. So far there's only a computer-side client version for Mac OS X, but Hughes promises a Windows version shortly. Also in the works is a version of Wi-Fi Sync that will work on an iPad, which is tipped to be a free update for existing owners.
