Amazon's Prime Day event doesn't technically kick off until 3 PM Eastern this afternoon, but the company is getting the ball rolling on some deals a little early. More specifically, many of Amazon's devices have already been discounted, so if you're looking to pick up something like an Echo or a Fire TV, there's no need to wait for Prime Day to actually begin. This is probably the lowest we'll see many of these devices go until at least Black Friday, so it might not be a bad idea to hop on these deals while you have the chance.

Most of Amazon's device lineup has been discounted in the lead up to Prime Day proper. The Echo Dot, for instance, is $20 off, bringing the already cheap Alexa speaker down to $29.99. The Fire TV Stick with Alexa voice remote sees a similar discount, which halves its usual price to $19.99.

Dash buttons have seen some significant discounts as well. Normally $5 each, Amazon has discounted each Dash button it offers to a mere $0.99. Considering that you still save $4.99 on your first order with each Dash button, this works out to be a pretty excellent deal.

Perhaps the most exciting discounts, however, are on Amazon's more expensive devices. The Echo Show, which is normally $229.99, is down to $129.99 in this Prime Day pre-sale, and the Echo Look is half off, settling at $99.99. Meanwhile, the Kindle Paperwhite is down to $79.99 (33% off), the Fire HD 10 tablet is $99.99 (33% off), and the freshly-launched Fire TV Cube is $89.99 (25% off).

As the name of the event suggests, these deals are only available to Prime subscribers. You can check out the full range of discounted Amazon devices over on the Prime Day page, which is where you can also get a glimpse of some the deals that will be available once Prime Day actually begins. These discounts are good for the next 40 hours, so be sure to take advantage of them quickly.
