All the Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker trailers so far [UPDATE: And another!]

Watch all the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailers released thus far and you might end up having viewed spoilers aplenty. This isn't the sort of movie you go see without any knowledge of its contents. The idea is just baffling – and almost impossible if you're the sort of person who uses the internet on a regular basis. If you've read this far, chances are you're not worried about a silly little SPOILER ALERT or two, right? Let's take a peek at all these little trailers.Duel of the Fates

It should be clear, by now, that Lucasfilm and Disney are aiming to cash in their "this is the last of a 9-movie cycle" chips on this Rise of Skywalker film. In the video you're about to see here, they're doing so with the hype summoned with one of the greatest Star Wars songs in the trilogy: Duel of the Fates.

This trailer was used to hype the release of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. This song was also used at the climax of the action in The Phantom Menace – suggesting here that we're going to get some bang-up battle action without a doubt!

ABOVE: The trailer is called "Duel", BELOW: the trailer is called "Fate" – not necessarily a reference to Duel of the Fates, but still, why not?

Adventure is next. You'll see some "Final Battle" action here – with some very clear looks at bits of battle between Kylo Ren and Rey. You might recognize that helmet there on the mantle.

This next clip is called "End" and it's very emotional. It's also going to show you more than basically any of the other trailers, if you know which details you're seeking. Watch out for red welding marks!

Some action in the trailer you see next takes place on the surface of a sandy planet. It's not Tatooine, no matter how much it would be a complete NON-SHOCK that we'd go back to that same environment again.

The clip above is called "Hold On", while the one below is called "Celebrate". All of these clips are 31-seconds long, made for television. If you still have cable TV, you'll see these run a billion times in the next couple weeks.

Straight Up Clip

The clip you see below is a "Film Clip" sort of unlike anything else posted by Disney/Lucasfilm thus far. It's still 31 seconds long, but it looks more like it's cut directly from the movie – no fancy editing involved. Watch out for that launch!

Special Features

First you'll get a "Special Look" about Star Wars, and it's going to tug at your heartstrings. Your eyes will leak and your cheeks will get all red because you're about to see your childhood played back at full speed.

The first major release from Lucasfilm/Disney on this movie was the D23 feature you're about to see, back in August of 2019. This was the trailer before the trailer was a trailer. It's sort of like a "look back" followed by clips from the movie – quick clips!

There's also a very long clip here that starts at around 1:35 – it was originally broadcast live on December 2, 2019. This was a Rise of Skywalker Q&A with the most major cast from this final film.

And another "Featurette" that's going to blow your mind, if you've never seen Harrison Ford say they'd "bounce too close to a supermarket." And a clip from after filming The Empire Strikes Back where Mark Hamill says "if this one doesn't work out, we're sort of... finished."

This will also tug at your heartstrings. So many heartstrings will be tugged at today, of that you can be sure.

The "Final Trailer"

This trailer was posted on October 21, 2019, but it's called the "Final Trailer" – so you know it's packed full of spoilers. If you're not already spoiled now, it's time!

And that's it! The movie Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released to theaters on December 20, 2019. We'll see you there!
