All-new 2020 Nissan Sentra is larger and more comfortable

Nissan has pulled the covers off the all-new 2020 Nissan Sentra. The Sentra is an affordable and important car for the Nissan brand. Nissan says that the new Sentra has class-leading interior refinement, standard Safety Shield 360, seamless connectivity, and is fun to drive. The 2020 Sentra is about two inches lower and two inches wider than the previous generation of the car. The texture also uses the latest Nissan design language and has thin LED headlamps and a floating roof.Nissan says that the interior was refined with attention paid to the smallest details to improve the perceived and actual quality of the car. The 2020 Sentra uses a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine that is rated for 149hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. That marks a 20% gain in power and a 16% gain in torque compared to the previous model.

Nissan also expects the engine to be more fuel-efficient than the outgoing model. A new independent rear suspension and new rack electric power steering system also promises improved performance. Standard Nissan Safety Sheild 360 adds six advanced driver assist systems to the Sentra.

The driver-assist systems include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, and High Beam Assist. The new Sentra also offers standard ten airbags, Rear Door Alert, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, and Intelligent Driver Alertness. Nissan offers several options for the new Sentra, including quilted, leather-appointed, heated front seats, and heated outside mirrors.

The seats are the Nissan NASA-inspired Zero Gravity seats and Intelligent Around View Monitor. The car offers an available floating 8-inch multi-touch center display and Nissan Connect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It's unclear when the new Sentra will hit showrooms and what pricing will be.
