Alienware unveils new peripherals for gamers

Alienware is Dell's gaming arm and the brand is typically associated with gaming notebooks and desktops more that it is with peripherals. That didn't stop Alienware from unveiling a new line of gaming peripherals today including a new keyboard, headphones, LCD, and mouse.

The keyboard is called the Alienware TactX keyboard has six macro keys that can be customized and it can store unlimited user profiles. The WASD gaming cluster has anti-ghosting technology and the keyboard sports a full array of multimedia controls. Customization with AlienFX lighting for two zones is built-in as well.

The Alienware TactX Mouse has a 5000 DPI laser engine and sports on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment. The mouse has five customizable buttons and features both vertical and horizontal scrolling along with AlienFX customizable lighting. The TactX headset has a retractable mic and a three-piece design for easy transport to and from your favorite LAN party. Alienware also debuted a new OptX 21.5-inch LCD with an 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 2MS response time and a resolution of 1920 x 1080.
