Alcatel Idol 4S Windows 10 smartphone will land on T-Mobile for $469

T-Mobile has a new smartphone for folks who like Windows 10 devices to check out called the Alcatel Idol 4S. The device will launch the T-Mobile network on November 10 and will sell unlocked and with no contract for $469.99. The device has nice hardware inside for the money packing a Snapdragon 820 quad core processor.

The screen is a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED covered in Dragontail 2.5D glass and sporting 180-degree viewing angles. Internal storage is 64GB and the smartphone has 4GB of RAM. Storage can be expanded via microSD cards.

The rear camera is a 21MP unit and the front camera is a 8MP resolution snapper. There is a dedicated camera button. Power comes from a 3,000 mAh internal battery and Quick Charge 2.0 helps the device charge faster. The smartphone supports Continuum, VR, and Windows Hello with a fingerprint reader. Audio comes from dual speakers that have Hi-Fi surround sound.

Dimensions are 153.9 x 75.4 x 6.99mm. The Idol 4S was originally an Android device, but in Windows 10 flavor it has some updated components including the Snapdragon 820 processor and 21MP camera. We know the device will land on T-Mobile this month, but it is unclear if you will be able to buy the device outside of the T-Mobile network via Alcatel and Microsoft at this time. This phone could be a great competitor to the HP Elite x3 that costs $200 more and looks to be a high-end device at a good price, assuming you want Windows 10.
