Adobe Lightroom mobile gives iPad users pro photo tools

Adobe has launched a new photo software suite for iPad users called Adobe Lightroom mobile. We heard that Adobe was working on this iOS app nearly a year ago and it is finally here. Lightroom mobile is a companion app to the Lightroom desktop software. Those interested in the new mobile app can only get access to it as part of Adobe Creative Cloud.

The app brings a lot of capability including the ability to process photos without damaging the original files. Smart Preview functionality lets the user take advantage of professional class photo editing on the go. Lightroom mobile is available in the $9.99 per month subscription fee that also gives access to Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC.

Lightroom mobile gives the user some of the same feature that Lightroom 5 offers. The features include the ability to sync mobile edits, metadata, and collection changes to the Lightroom catalog on Mac and Windows machines. Users can import images captured on the iPad and synchronize them to the Lightroom catalog on the desktop.

Lightroom mobile allows photographers to work on images when the iPad is offline. Images can be synced between Lightroom 5 and Lightroom mobile and are viewable on any web browser. Lightroom mobile is available right now for the iPad 2 or later running iOS 7. It also requires Lightroom 5.4 for Mac or Windows.
