Adidas miCoach FIT SMART knocks the baseline at $200

Smart wearables seem to be forever just around the bend – they're still not quite taking hold the way smartphones have, and each new generation seems to be drastically different from the last. With the miCoach FIT SMART, Adidas feels like they've got things under control, however, as they release a second-generation arm-based device that takes their original for a ride – on the relative cheap, too.

The ADIDAS miCoach FIT SMART wearable device works with heart rate, pace, calories, distance, and stride rates, all connecting with your smartphone wirelessly. With the ADIDAS myCoach Train and Run app for iOS and Android, you'll be able to customize your training plan and track your activities throughout the day.

With a $199 price tag, Adidas is aiming directly for the throats of their competitors with similarly-sized and looking devices with similar price tags. The Samsung Gear Live will cost you a cool $199, while the LG G Watch will cost you $229.

The TomTom Runner Cardio GPS sports watch and its Multi-Sport Cadio GPS will cost you $229 and $339 respectively. The Polar V800 sports watch will run you a whopping $449.95 USD.
