Acer Aspire One netbook: Unboxing Video

The Acer Aspire One is among the most searched for netbooks here on SlashGear, so we were keen to get the 8.9-inch budget ultraportable in to see whether all the fuss is warranted.  Based on Intel's 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, our review model has 512MB of RAM, an 8GB SSD, WiFi b/g and runs Linux.  We'll be putting it through its paces over the coming week, but until then enjoy the unboxing video!Check out the Acer Aspire One netbook unboxing video after the cut

Several versions of the Aspire One are available, including a choice of Windows XP Home or Linpus Linux Lite.  Storage also varies, with both solid-state drives and traditional hard-drives, while RAM tops out at 1GB.  There's no factory-built 3G WWAN option, but Acer do fit each Aspire One with a webcam, multi memory card reader and microphone.  We'll be particularly interested to test out the battery life; our sample uses a 3-cell battery pack, but there's also a 6-cell option.

The Acer Aspire One is available now, with our test model priced at around $329.  We'll have the full SlashGear review very soon, so keep reading!
