Back in August, we first heard of the new Acer Aspire One AOD255 netbook. At the time, we were missing a few pertinent details about the machine and Acer has now revealed all. The AOD255 is a small netbook with an Intel Atom dual-core CPU inside.
The netbook promises eight hours of battery life per charge. The processor inside is specifically the Atom N550 and the little machine will be offered in other versions using the Atom N450 CPU. The notebook is only 1-inch thick and has a 10.1-inch CrystalBrite LED backlit screen that saves up to 22.2% on power.
The keyboard of the machine is 2.5 pounds and can save 22.2% power compared to other notebook screens. Other features include WiFi, 1.3MP webcam, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 250GB HDD. It will come in red, black, brown, and aquamarine colors. The N550 packing machine is $329.99 and the N450 version will sell for $269.99 with all landing later this month in stores.
