After making the Aspire One D250 official yesterday, Acer have followed up with the super-skinny Aspire One 531.  The 531 measures 255 x 183 x 19-26.9mm and weighs 1kg with the 3-cell battery; under the hood there's a choice of Intel Atom N270 or N280 processors, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory and a 160GB hard-drive.

Opt for the 6-cell battery (good for 7hrs, versus the 3-cell's 3hrs) and weight climbs to 1.15kg.  Other specs include WiFi b/g, optional Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, optional UMTS/HSPA in triband or quadband form, and a 0.3-megapixel webcam.

Like the Aspire One D250, the Acer Aspire One 531 has a multitouch trackpad, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA output, audio in/out, ethernet and an 89-percent standard size keyboard.  OS is Windows XP Home, and it'll come in black, blue and red.

The Acer Aspire One 531 is already available to order at Amazon Germany, priced at €399 ($529).
