2021 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL line includes Denali and AT4 trims

GMC has unveiled its latest version of the Yukon and Yukon XL SUVs. The 2021 models are headlined by an all-new and more upscale Denali version and the first-ever Yukon AT4 aimed at off-road use. The entire Yukon line has an all-new interior with an available power sliding center console. The vehicles have first-in-class available four-corner Air Ride Adaptive suspension that is designed for comfort and can raise the ride height by 2-inches when 4WD Lo is engaged. GMC says that feature gives additional ground clearance and notes the feature will be late availability.

2021 Yukon models have nine cameras, the most in the segment, to improve driver awareness. Yukon features HD Surround Vision, Rear Camera Mirror, and GMC's ProGrade trailering system. Yukon can be fitted with an available 15-inch diagonal multicolor head-up display that offers speed, navigation, safety features, and other driver information.

Power comes from an available 6.2-liter V8 that makes an estimated 420hp, which is the standard engine on the Denali. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The base V8 is a 5.3-liter unit, and an all-new 3.0L inline-six turbo-diesel will be an option.

The AT4 version aims at the premium off-road space and has a rugged look with different front and rear fascias. Key features include a two-speed transfer case, hill descent control, skid plates, special AT4 leather seats, jet black interior with Brandy accents, and more. AT4 buyers also get a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated second-row outboard seats. GMC will start selling the 2021 Yukon and Yukon XL modes this summer. Pricing and additional details will be released closer to launch.
