2021 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe debut with new style

Chevrolet has rolled out the new 2021 Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs. The automaker notes that the rides are the best-selling full-size SUVs in the industry. The two SUVs have been redesigned to deliver the most interior space of any SUV and to deliver exclusive tech and features.The Tahoe and Suburban combine the strongest aspects of the new full-size truck architecture with new systems that are tailored to the needs of today's SUV drivers and passengers. The interior space for the Tahoe has been revised, promising 66% more cargo room behind the third row and 19% more maximum cargo space behind the first row for the Suburban.

The Tahoe also gets ten more inches of legroom for the third-row. The vehicle gets the most advanced suspension in the segment with independent rear suspension paired with available Magnetic Ride Control and a first-in-class Air Ride Adaptive suspension. The Air Ride Suspension offers leveling at all four corners and up to 4-inches of ride height adjustment.

The interior has a standard 10-inch diagonal central color touchscreen and an available 8-inch diagonal instrument cluster. An available 15-inch head-up display and dual 12.6-inch diagonal rear-seat LCDs are offered. The SUVs gain automatic emergency braking and other new features, including HD Surround vision and Rear Pedestrial Alert.

An all-new 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel engine is available. That diesel is rated at 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Updated V8 engines include a 6.2L V8 with 420 horsepower. The standard transmission for all engines is the 10-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive is optional, and there will be six trim levels for the SUVs. The redesigned SUVs will be built in Arlington, Texas, and will be on sale in mid-2020.
