2020 Subaru Crosstrek price creeps up a bit

Subaru has announced the pricing on its popular Crosstrek SUV for the 2020 model year. Pricing has increased across the range, with new model pricing starting at $250 more than the 2019 model. Pricing for the Crosstrek Hybrid has crept up only $150 compared to last year.

While pricing has increased slightly, there is new equipment to help justify the price increase. Subaru EyeSight driver assists technology is now standard on all models fitted with the Lineartronic CVT transmission. Automatic door locks and automatic climate control are standard across the line.

All Crosstrek models with the CVT get an automatic start-stop system. CVT equipped Base, Premium, and Limited models also get SI-Drive powertrain performance management system. For 2020 there are also some new colors, including Magnetite Gray Metallic replacing Dark Gray Metallic and Pure Red replacing Venetian Red Pearl. A Rear Seat Reminder is available across the line to remind of a child or pet in the back seat.

All models have a $1,010 destination and delivery charge in most states, while in Alaska, the charge is $1,160. Pricing is as follows:

- Base 6MT starts at $23,155

- Base CVT starts at $24,505

- Premium 6MT starts at $24,205

- Premium CVT starts at $25,555

- Limited CVT stats at $28,405

- Hybrid CVT starts at $36,155

There are several option packages offered on the Crosstrek models that vary depending on the starting trim. The most costly option package is the $2,500 package offered only on the hybrid that adds a moonroof, nav, Harman Kardon sound, and a heated steering wheel. The hybrid also gets exclusive gray and navy-blue leather seats, door panels, and armrests. It's also offered in a unique Lagoon Blue Pearl color. The hybrid is a plug-in and has an EV range of 17 miles.
