2020 Honda Accord heads to dealers starting at $24,800

Honda has announced that the 2020 Honda Accord is heading to dealers around the country. The 2020 Accord offers drivers standard Honda Sensing and a choice of two turbocharged engines. The engine options include a 1.5L turbo-four making 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque with a CVT transmission.

The other available engine is a 2.0L VTEC Turbo that makes 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque with a 10-speed automatic. Sport trim versions are offered with both engines and can be had with 6-speed manual transmission. Sport trim models are offered in two exclusive colors including San Marino Red and Still Night Pearl.

The cheapest of all Accord models is the LX with a 1.5L engine and CVT; it sells for $24,800 including the $930 destination charge. A Sport 1.5L turbo in CVT or 6-speed manual retails for $24,460. The EX with a 1.5L engine and CVT starts at $28,700 with the EX-L 1.5L staring at $31,200.

The least expensive of the 2.0L offerings is the Sport with either a 10-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual starting at $31,200. The EX-L 2.0L is $33,200 with the Touring 2.0L turbo at $37,030. All 2020 Accords get Honda Sensing safety and driver-assist systems.

Honda Sensing includes Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with pedestrian sensing, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR). All Accord models also have standard automatic high-beam headlights, multi-angle rearview camera, and driver attention monitor. Other available driver assistance systems include blind-spot monitoring and rain-sensing wipers. All Accords also have standard Bluetooth and Pandora compatibility. Sport and higher trims have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
