2020 BMW M4 Edition ///M Heritage limited to 750 units globally

BMW has announced a limited edition version of the 2020 BMW M4 that is meant to celebrate the "storied history" since the founding of the M division in 1972. To celebrate BMW has unveiled the 2020 M4 Edition ///M Heritage and the special car will be limited to 750 units globally. Only three colors will be offered that represent the BMW M GmbH logo.

The colors include Laguna Seca Blue, Velvet Blue, and Imola Red II. The roof of each model is made of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic and has an offset stripe in the three M colors using a special manufacturing process. The cars all roll on unique 20-inch BMW light-alloy wheels in orbit gray.

The wheels wear 265/30R20 front, and 285/40R20 rear mixed performance tires. For US-spec cars each will wear a special interior that matches the exterior color. The interior has full-Merino Leather M Sport seats in Silverstone/black leather with turquoise stitching for Laguna Seca Blue cars. Silverston/black leather with blue contrast stitching is used inside cars with Velvet Blue outside.

The Imola Red II cars get red/black leather with red contrast stitching. The interior trim on all versions includes carbon trim and door sills that have the Edition ///M Heritage logo and the car's number out of 750. The carbon fiber inside the cars has three BMW M colors as part of the weave.

The cars are all based on the M4 Competition Package Coupe with a 444hp engine with 406 lb-ft of torque. The cars can reach 60mph in 3.8 seconds when fitted with the 7-speed dual-clutch and have a 155 mph top speed. The cars can be had with a manual transmission and include the Competition Package Adaptive M Suspension.
