2019 Ram 1500 North Edition is meant for dashing through the snow

Anyone who lives in a colder state knows that you often need some special gear to make it through the winter. Ram knows that people in northern states have needs that are different from those in the south and it has rolled out the 2019 Ram 1500 North Edition packed with features to make surviving winter easier. The truck is available at dealers now.

Ram says that the North Edition is aimed at the truck buyer out there that needs more capability and warmth on a frozen drive. A standard feature on this model includes three-peak mountain snowflake severe snow service Falken LT tires that are for on and off-road use. The truck has four-wheel drive with 4x4 Auto, 4x4 High, and 4x4 Low settings.

North Edition buyers get a one-inch factory lift, electronic-locking rear axle, tow hooks, engine block heater, and heated seats and steering wheel. Remote start is included as standard along with all-weather floor mats to contain slush and snow.

Convenience features include a Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen, 12-way power driver seat with 4-way power lumbar, heated folding mirrors, and front and rear Park Sense system. The truck also has body-color steel bumpers, grille, mirrors, door handles, and rear fender 4x4 decal.

The truck is based on the Big Horn model and comes in Crew Cab 4x4 with short or long bed body styles. Power is from an eTorque 3.6L Pentastar or 5.7L Hemi V8. Ram 1500 North is priced at $45,890 plus a $1,695 destination charge. Ram is unclear on which states have access to the North Edition truck.
