2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock ditches wood rails and gold wheels of the classic namesake

Ram has announced the revival of a nameplate that hasn't been seen since 1977. The nameplate is Warlock, and in the late '70s, the package got you a single cab truck with wood bed rails, gold wheels, and fancy pinstripes. The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock receives none of those cool touches.

Ram decided to forgo any real ties to the classic truck aside from the name. The 2019 Warlock gets no wooden bed rails, no fancy pinstripes, and interestingly no gold wheels. A set of satin finished gold wheels would look really good on the new Warlock.

Instead, buyers get a truck that is blacked out rolling on 20-inch semi-gloss black wheels. The front grille is more aggressive than on normal Ram 1500 models. Essentially the Warlock truck wears no chrome for a very stealthy look.

There are ten different colors offered with the Warlock package, and the truck can be ordered with a 3.6L V6 or the Hemi V8 engine. Both two or four-wheel drive configurations are available with both using an 8-speed automatic.

Ram will offer the Warlock starting in Q1 of 2019, and the truck will start at around $37,040. The price includes destination. A Warlock sticker is placed on the rear fenders to tie this blacked out version to the classic.
