2019 BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle pricing announced

BMW went official with the 2019 X5 Sports Activity Vehicle early last month. It's certainly a nice-looking SUV and those interested in the vehicle wanted to know about pricing, but BMW was mum on that with the initial announcement. BMW has now announced pricing on the X5 and offered up a few more details.

The X5 xDrive40i will start at an MSRP of $60,700. Stepping up a rung on the ladder is the X5 50i xDrive model that starts at $75,750. Both of those prices are excluding the mandatory $995 destination fee. BMW also talked up some of the standard features on the 2019 X5.

Those standard features include a Sport Automatic Transmission with launch control. Dynamic Damper control is included along with BMW Live Cockpit Professional with navigation and a pair of 12.3-inch digital displays. The X5 uses the seventh generation of the BMW iDrive system.

Other standard features include Adaptive full LED headlamps, active blind spot detection, frontal collision warning with city collision mitigation. A panoramic sunroof and pre-wired for trailer towing are standard. BMW offers an optional trailer hitch with 7,200-pound capacity.

BMW will offer xLine and an optional M Sport Package trim. An optional off-road package with air suspension and mechanical rear locking diff is available. USB-C ports for second-row passengers are standard as well. Options include remote start, improved driver assistance systems, BMW Laserlites, heated steering wheel and armrests, and optional heated and cooled cupholders. Options aren't priced at this time.
