2017 Audi A4 Allroad Quattro first look

Audi shows off their 2017 A4 Allroad Quattro this week at the Detroit Auto show, coming correct with a new rugged set of features. This machine is based on the A4 wagon, coming with a ride height that's up just over an inch (34 millimeters / 1.3 inch) over the previous model, also coming with its own "offroad" mode. This vehicle also rolls with quattro GmbH and 17-inch alloy wheels in a multi-spoke design.

Inside this vehicle you'll find TFSI and five TDI engines with between 110 kW (150 hp) and 200 kW (272 hp), which is up to 20 kW (27 hp) more than in the previous A4. Standard equipment in this vehicle includes xenon headlights, Bluetooth connectivity, "convenience key", and Audi drive select (from 140 kW). You'll also find a lovely 7-inch MMI color display inside.

You'll have options for an MMI display of up to 8.3-inches. An all-digital 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit option will be available, alongside a new heads-up display.

Audi also makes sure to mention that their engineers have made an effort to reduce CO2 emissions with this vehicle. They've reduced CO2 emissions by up to 21 grams per kilometer (33.8 g/mi) (2.0 TDI 140 kW) in this vehicle, and all engines "satisfy the limits of the Euro 6 emissions standard."

Audi also mentions that the A4 allroad family of vehicles will "grow further following the market launch." They suggest that there'll be one, at least, the 2.0 TDI with an output of 110 kW (150 hp) and maximum torque of 320 Nm (236.0 lb-ft).

This Audi A4 allroad quattro will be headed to dealerships in Germany as well as other Euro countries this summer.
