Zynga planning NFL game despite continued woes

Zynga's persistent troubles have continued to follow the company, but despite them it is still trying to keep itself afloat. As part of this, Zynga has announced that it'll be launching a mobile game called NFL Showdown under a licensing deal with the league.

Yesterday, Zynga reported its latest numbers, and in them was more bad news — the company's yearly forecast has been slashed, and as a result it is delaying several planned titles. Despite this, the company is still looking forward to good things.

Among its latest efforts will be the release of a mobile game made under a deal with the NFL, which will be releasing in "select countries" — this will be something of a milestone for the company, which hasn't previously released a game related to sports.

In addition, Zynga has partnered up with Tiger Woods and will be releasing a mobile game some time next year in conjunction with the golfer. Rounding it all out is a new deal with Warner Bros. to launch a Looney Tunes mobile game sometime before the upcoming holidays.
