Zune prepares to go under the knife

There’ve been posts all over the net about how straightforward it can be to upgrade Microsoft’s Zune to 40gb; usually they also point out that the 60gb and 80gb drives will work too, aside from the fact that the added thickness makes closing the casing impossible.  That didn’t stop the guys over at iPodMods, however; perhaps thanks to the fact that this DAP doesn’t come with an Apple on it they have no qualms about hacking up Microsoft’s new baby!  So far there’s just this one photo showing (woefully underused) disk size, but I’m looking forward to seeing how they manage to slot it all back together.
