Zkoo hand gesture tracking camera plays games and more

A new hand gesture motion tracking camera called Zkoo has been unveiled that promises high-speed vision tech for the living room. The camera can be used on your TV to interact with existing apps and games. The Zkoo camera supports Windows PCs, Android devices, tablets, and smartphones.

Using the camera people can interact with their device without having to physically touch it or use a controller. Windows 7, 8, and 10 are supported and the camera promises low latency for smooth and accurate use.

NVIDIA Shield and Nexus 6 devices are supported and compatible apps include some of the more popular games out there like Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Fruit Ninja, Candy Crush, and others. The camera is capable of over 100 frames per second and can track gestures from up to ten feet away.

Connecting the camera requires a Windows PC and a USB cable. The camera then connects to the TV or Android device via HDMI. Zkoo is on Kickstarter seeking $15,000 and has raised over $14,700 with 38 days to go. A pledge of $72 or more will get you a Zkoo camera with shipping expected in April 2016.
