I guess it’s better described as chocolates that look like sushi. A bit random topic, but being a sushi lover this definitely caught my eye. Confectionary art at its finest. Handmade chocolates colored and shaped to look just like an expensive platter of sushi. Everything but the large container is edible chocolate including the little green dividers wasabi, ginger, and in some cases even the small plates with edible gold edging. Makes a great gift for your raw-food-phobic friends who you’ve been trying to coax into trying some sushi. Prices range from about $15 to $60 at Koo-Ki Sushi.

Great article. I gave some Kooki Sushi as gifts recently when I was on an important business trip. It was a HUGE it! It was a nice departure from a bottle of wine or a fruit basket and was a conversation piece at meetings over the next few days. The packaging is so beautiful, no gift wrap was needed making it easier for me to travel with. I’ll definitely purchase Kooki Sushi again. – E. Michelle

I recently purchased a box of Kooki Sushi for a dinner party I threw. I served it to my guests and was a little nervous about it. Everyone oo-ed and ah-ed over the intricate presentation. It really looked gorgeous on my dining room table. Then, the real test began when they ate it. I was afraid it might not taste as good as it looked. My guests overwhelmingly loved it – It was beautiful AND delicious!!!

Wow, awesome. Good to hear they’re as good as they look. I’m gonna have to order some for myself. They do look beautiful. Actually, so beautiful I dont think I’ll have the heart to eat them. I’ll just end up staring at them for long periods of time.

I’m 5 months pregnant and have been absolutely dying for sushi. When a girlfriend of mine brought this over for a pot luck dinner party, I thought she was just teasing me. I was thrilled to discover that it was chocolate!!! Not only does the presentation look fantastic, the items are all truly delicious. You don’t always find that when you eat edible art.

We had these chocolates recently at a wedding reception and were very impressed! Not only are they beautifully designed and detailed, they really do taste good, the chocolate and other flavors meld to form a unique, decadently yummy taste. I know they seem a bit pricey but I agree with what the other poster noted, you’re really paying for the handmade art. This would really *wow* a potential client or your boss!

They’re so pretty, it would be difficult for me to munch on them. Then again, there’ll be more so eat up!

Unfortunately, my experience with Suedy’s Kooki-sushi was an unpleasant one due to their “customer service” or should I say LACK of customer service. I placed an order with them over a month ago and have yet to receive my refund after canceling my order. I did this because my order failed to arrive on the expected date and after numerous attempts to contact the company for a status, I got simply got fed up with them dodging me. All the phone numbers including the fax number on their website are not in service. The only way I was able to contact them after they took my money was through email. If your lucky someone might actually write you back but I wouldn’t bet on it if you want your money back. I am currently working with my bank to dispute the charges and possibly file a fraud claim with them for the services and merchandise they charged but never rendered to me. Be sure to request a signature for your order, otherwise they’ll claim to have already sent it to you and blame it on FedEx. Good luck! I guess I’ll just have to imagine what the chocolates would have taste like….it’s no loss though. As a chocolate lover I found a quick rebound chocolate to indulge in….Chocolate peanut butter “wings” from the Chocolate Pizza Company. Now, they have excellent customer service and the delicacies are absolutely sinful :-)
