The Yamaha BD-S2900 was announced today and if you’re in the market for a super high-end Blu-ray player, this may very well be the one for you. This player has HD Audio Bitstream output and several other features that set it apart from the norm.

Other features of this Yamaha model include 12-bit Deep Color, 1080p via HDMI and more. You can output 1080p signals at 24fps with this bad boy and audio signals such as Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus can be sent to the receiver over HDMI alone.
Another cool feature is the ability to view images within the main picture if your Blu-ray disc is compatible. S-Video, composite, HDMI, optical digital, coaxial digital and 5.1 channel analog audio outputs come with it. This player sells for a little under $1,200, so if you want the top of the line, this Blu-ray player might be right up your alley.

Looks like the Audioholics store actually has this thing in stock already according to EngadgetHD.

The BD-S2900 cost too much compaired with other players. It lacks BD-Live, an Ethernet port to upgrade the firmware, and has no decoder for TrueHD and DTS Master Audio.
