I have this phone and have been using it since Christmas of ’10. like the camera, drops calls all the time, takes 6-10 menu taps to get a call made. not consistent on screen taps… often delayed and slow. Overall i would love to get rid of it…but signed the 2 yr contract. guess I’m stuck with it. my 5 star review 2.1..

Hi, I’m a generally non-tech but a full-on audiophile & I saw this comment whilst searching for some earbuds for my x10i that will let me control calls as well as tracks & maybe even volume – and was looking into Razer Morays – so yo say they work well?

Reading the above article & regarding the software it comes with..

a. it’s an amazing phone :)
b. I’m running MixZing which is an excellent player, there’s no eq as standard.
c. android market is brilliant

did you need to fiddle with software to use the phones?

i agree with you about the battery life however you can use headphones that aren’t Sony, i’m using a Razer Moray with my x10i

MAC USERS:
It is worth noting that although this phone being billed as a competitor to the iphone, it is NOT MAC COMPATIBLE
I have sent e-mails and asked tech support, and apparently there are no plans in the works to fix this problem.
If you want to update your phone, your options are to use a friends computer, download windows onto your mac, or see if the store will maybe do it.
I am extremely unimpressed with this lack of services for a very large consumer base. Although the phone lagged a bit I was prepared to put up with it until I found out all of the computer programs for you to update your phone, sync with your computer, and who knows what else are inaccessible if you have a mac.
Although I had been happy with my phone, now knowing this I regret I ever purchased it.

I have this phone right now… Really pleased so far, 8/10.
Android 2.2 is sweet, but the battery life with the default apps installed is very stupid. One more thing… You cant use headphones that arent SonyE. Everything else so far is wonderful!
