Rumors and leaks about the Xiaomi Mi 5 have been flying over the last few weeks. The device was confirmed to get official on February 24 by Hugo Barra. We have also seen packaging leak for the Mi 5 that shows multiple colors will be offered. This week a new leak has surfaced claiming there will be two versions of the phone.

According to the rumor on February 24, we will see two versions of the Mi 5 get official. One of those versions will run Android and the other will run Windows 10. The OS should be the only difference between the two versions, hardware will be the same.

It's not clear at this point if both versions of the smartphone will launch globally. Markets outside China could see only one version or the other. Hardware rumors suggest a quad HD screen, Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM, 4G LTE, 16MP camera, and a battery packing at least 3000 mAh of power.

Pricing is tipped to be the same no matter if you choose the Android or Windows 10 flavor at under $500. We only have a few weeks no until February 24 when the smartphone is supposed to be unveiled and we can see if any of the rumors of late are accurate.
