Xbox Live Games on Demand sale starts today

Last week, we told you about a major sale coming our way this week, with over 60 Xbox 360 games being discounted all week long, with different sales every day. Larry Hyrb, head of Xbox Live, has announced that the sale has begun, and to start the week off, Microsoft is going big with heavy discounts to several Halo titles.Halo 3, Halo: Reach, Halo Wars, and Halo 4 are all on sale today. The first three of which are discounted by 67% and are priced at just $9.99 each. Halo 4 is on sale for $39.99 — a 33% discount. Halo 4 is the newest game in the series and was released back in November. While a 33% discount isn't quite as generous as a 67% discount, $40 for the game is still fairly good.

Furthermore, Hyrb also announced today that while most games will only see one-day sales, Microsoft is discounting a handful of selected games all week long, including BioShock, Tomb Raider Legend, several Tom Clancy titles, Call of Juarez, DiRT 2, GRID, and Rainbow Six Vegas. All of these games have discounts of no less than 75% off.

As for what the rest of the week looks like, Microsoft will be discounting a ton of AAA titles throughout the next week, including Assassin's Creed, the Batman Arkham series, the Borderlands series, the entire Call of Duty series (except the first one), Dead Island, Fallout 3, Left for Dead 2, and Max Payne 3.
