No worries, the article is only discussing what the XBox Live service will offer Windows 8/RT users.

If you're using a full Windows 8 system then you can pretty much run anything you want within the limits of the system performance and OS compatibility.

Mind legacy support means you won't be locked to just what the MS App Store and Services offer.

Only if you're using a Windows RT device will you be locked down but you wouldn't be using a ARM device for PC gaming anymore than you would a netbook... At least for any modern PC games.

ARM may be cheap and give great run times but graphically they're only starting to rival gaming consoles, which are going on 7 years old now btw, and the CPU performance basically has only started rivaling the Intel ATOM.

I ask this because i was so looking forward to a surface tablet running full windows 8 playing battlefeild or crysis and going ah yea how crap does an ipad look now..
(And before that starts a flame war, yes i know a full W8 slate would be more expensive than an ipad.... but still cheaper than any air book mac book)
