Xbox Entertainment Studios has nabbed up its latest entertainment powerhouse, former AMC veteran Ari Mark. Mark has been hired to produce unscripted video content for Xbox Entertainment, something he has prior experience in, having created the same sort of content for American Movie Classics.
According to an announcement by Xbox Entertainment, Mark will be overseeing the content development. Before joining, however, he previously worked to create Talking Dead, The Pitch, Game of Arms (which hasn’t yet debuted, though it will shortly), and Comic Book Men.
There aren’t many details in terms of what Microsoft has planned for Mark, aside from it being unscripted videos. This is the latest move the company has made into the entertainment market, with Xbox Entertainment Studios’ first original series having been ordered back in December, for example.
That series — a documentary series of sorts — will be following the digital revolution, exploring different related topics. Oscar winner Simon Chinn and Emmy winner Jonathan Chinn were both brought on as part of this. The debut will look into the buried Atari cartridges mystery hailing from 1983.
