Xbox 360 Elite is coming to Europe August 24

Those of you in Europe that have been waiting for the Xbox 360 Elite will be happy to hear that you'll have they opportunity to purchase the console starting next month.

Unfortunately, as with many things, you'll be expected to pay a hefty price for the privilege of buying one. The retail price in Europe is set to be £329.99, or around $671. For those of you keeping track at home, that's nearly $200 more than we pay over here in the US.

What is even more fascinating is that the console will be hitting Japan on October 11 for ¥47,800 or around $392, which is actually a lot less than we're paying here. I'm sure that the low price in Japan has nothing to do with the poor sales in that region. It's just sad that the folks over in Europe will once again get the short end of the stick.
